Mr Yap Chee Meng served on the Board of The Esplanade Co Ltd from 2013 to 2021, and chaired their Audit Risk Committee from 2015 to 2019. His current independent directorships comprise Suntec (Lead Independent Director & Audit Committee Chair) and HSBC Life Singapore (formerly known as AXA Insurance Singapore) (Independent Board Chairman to 2022, Lead Independent Director from 2022). His past independent directorships include SATS (Audit Committee Chair), Keppel Land (Audit and Risk Committee Chair) and the RHB Asset Management Group (Independent Board Chairman). Prior to his retirement in 2013, Chee Meng was KPMG International’s Asia Pacific Chief Operating Officer and a member of its Global Executive Team. In his career spanning many years in the financial sector, Mr Yap has served on committees of various professional and regulatory bodies.
